Judging by your poor grammar, you're obviously not from California. If American Patriots so value their laws, why can they not respect states rights that have not been overturned by Federal law. What irony they display...

Anyways, California has ruled that they do want people in our situation to obtain instate tuition. They value "our kind" as equally as the other residents, and this has been proven back-to-back by the votes of legal California residents. If you cannot stomach the fact that California residents, including undocumented immigrants, obtain instate tuition, please send your children to another state university system.

Also, I would like to further mention that some of us do have social security numbers that are valid for employment regardless of our status. I'll gladly scan it for you if you'd like (excluding the number, of course).

kids from Texas need a Texan high school diploma to pay instate tuition in Texas. If they decide to go to college in California, they will have to pay out of state tuition as everyone who moves out in order to go to college in another state
But will the state still help you with the in-state tuition if your an illegal immigrant?

That was exactly my question. I live in Houston, Texas currently i'm in my 3rdish year of community college. I am Struggling to attend School because of the lack of jobs, or the fact that i can't find a descent job for myself. I'm wondering how does someone like myself find those Texas Schools who offer financial aid to an undocumented student as my self?

Some questions... How do you prove you've lived in-state for X years after high school? I actually moved out of Illinois shortly after graduating because I had no plans for college at the time. My parents still have a house and bank account in their name though, will that do? Or do I need X years worth of bills? Are some schools more lenient than others?

They don't verify it. They just verify if you attended a Texas high school for 36 months and graduated from it (by looking at your transcript). They just take your word for it when you sign the residency affidavit: https://www.applytexas.org/adappc/do...dency_1403.pdf

I am speaking from experience. I moved to New Mexico for 4 months to get a license, and then moved back to Texas and applied for college. They only cared about the transcript and the residency affidavit.

Ah... Well I'm SOL, only spent my final semester in IL and it looks like 3 years of schooling is required there too. I don't suppose there's any leeway here?
