No. The issue is that the Trump administration didn't go through the proper procedure to end it, hence why daca still exists. Since it's temporary through executive order, trump can end it by going through to proper procedure. That would permanently end DACA.

Under the Supreme Court’s normal procedures, the challengers in each case would have 30 days to file their briefs opposing review. On that schedule, if the justices were to grant review, the court could hear oral argument and decide the dispute before the end of the current term in late June.

God damn it we have to wait almost 7 months...

Graham has said it would be one time renewable. My interpretation is that we would have 6 years of status before the legislation would need to be renewed.

It's a reasonable temporary solution and if it is for that length of time, it would keep up from being used as a pawn again by Trump, should he be re-elected next year. It gives us a decent amount of time to find a viable option for legalization (i.e. marriage) on our own terms. My concern is for those with EWIs who have not been able to clear them previously and are shut out of the current immigration system.

Once DACA is locked in legislatively that is it. It will just keep being extended legislatively.

Right. Another issue is the fact that if this passes, these idiots won't pass something that actually gives us a pathway to citizenship. Because let's be honest, Congress isn't tackling CIR...not now and not 10 years from now.

That being said, as long as the BRIDGE Act does not bar any of us from seeking a remedy within the current (and/or future) immigration system, I'm all for it.

Someone answer this question for us. Even if it’s not, I’m sure it can be tweaked to give us travel privileges.

I read this in the bill “has traveled outside of the United States
without authorization from the Secretary;”

Our best chance of getting anything is now and for democrats the best chance is also now because scotus will kill DACA.

I pray to God we finally get some relief.
