As I have said, #POTUS is right on the need for better border security, including more physical barriers. I will continue to work w/ senators on both sides to reopen the govt, secure the border & pass other consensus reforms like #DACA.

I think it might be a while before the govt reopens. Im thinking end of Jan or right before workers miss their second paycheck.

S.108 - A bill to provide deferred action for certain individuals brought to the United States and to establish a border security trust fund, and for other purposes.

No dem cosponsor most likely means it's bridge act and most likely means it will not pass the house.

25 billion dollars for border security and we just get daca codified into law. Renew every 2 years for the rest of our lives. That’s the republican idea of a fair trade off lol.

I am guessing he is assuming the Democratic controlled house will add more to it. Regardless of what the senate passes, they know Democrats will add more in the House.

You're implying this bullshit would get through the senate. I honestly can only think of one "legislative victory" that got through the senate and that was the "Taxes and Jobs Act of 2018" which they rammed through just barely using reconciliation. They really fail to understand that they would need at least 7 democrats to pass something like this and each subsequent yes vote gets more expensive to the point that it might be easier to pass stuff with 20 democratic yeas and leave extremists like Cotton out to dry.
