In all seriousness, my reasoning behind this is that Trump was elected with a very very radical platform (Ending DACA on Day 1). Kudos to him for actually proposing SOMETHING. He's low-balling clearly. I understand you want something more permanent. But that is the Democrats responsibility to go to the table and demand that! I don't see them doing that. They're saying its "non-starter."

It might not be a bad deal after all.. if trump isn't the president in 3 years and a democrat is the president then he could keep extending the Bridge act or TPS for another 3 years.

Why would the Democrats compromise for anything less than Dream or US Act?
