@soccerlilly03,You're the first individual here who has confirmed the issue of going from Entry without Inspection and converting that to Legal entry.Over the last few months this has only really been theory but you're the first confirmed individual on DAP to make the immigration theory of EWI conversion to Legal entry reality.

There are many individuals here with situations like yours but as mentioned earlier in the thread you're gonna be asked a lot of questions, lol! Cheers and Congrats!

Whenever they approve something they send it that color.
I mean the form of the I-797 and the label more importantly. The actual AP paper you take with you says I-512 on top. Kind of like when you get the ead. You get your I-797's and then get the actual ead. So for AP. You would get your I-797 but then the actual 512 paper or if you are applying for the combo ead/ap the card.

Soccerlilly did you come in with a Visa to the United States during your first entry?

I'm going to repeat what MsAccountant says. Yolo now or just wait for our process to be done.

Nothing has ever been filed for you with immigration besides DACA? Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate you sharing your experience with us.
yes I looked over paperwork and no I don't have ANY filings besides DACA.

and I didn't come in with a visa if that were the case my husband would have petitionedfor me years ago.

@soccerlilly03 Congrats & thanks for sharing the info with all of us. I know the circumstances were not ideal but going back to your country and seeing your family must have been quite a feeling. Bitter/sweet type thing for you, hope your grandma is recovering from her health issues.

She said she is going to include approval letter later. I wonder if anybody ever petition for her as a child. It is still a little weird that they were so lenient. But, i agree with dream maybe the fact she is married to a USC with a USC child made the difference. Maybe CBP and USCIS realized that she would be eligible for AOS after entry. It is the only thing that could really explain it.
