SOME attorneys who are part of their region AILA chapter have started to meet to put in place different helpful info once an announcement has been made. PLEASE dont PAY anyone yet for something that has not been announce. Scammer are out there right now taking advantage of the desperation cause by the news.

*Disclaimer: I work for an attorney who is a chair at our region AILA chapter.
I won't, but how long after the announcement should I wait. Hey is the lawyer you work for any good?

She is really helpful. You can try asking her to help you out and you give her some cash.

You guys think there might be another influx of immigrants because they heard Obama was giving out green cards?

There will always be an influx of immigrants because we have a relatively open economy (Trade). You can't expect labor to be the only production factor that doesn't move across borders. We actually need more young immigrants, both skilled and unskilled. The key is to create a system so that the incoming immigrants are not coming in illegally but with documentation.

No, seriously. Who has the authority to forward the registry date? Attorney General? Congress?
