No, I think the 10 year ban applies to any one, it does not matter your nationality. Say you become a Canadian citizen in 5 years, you still would not be able to visit the U.S., Not until the 10 year ban expires and after that it would be up to the CPB officer whether to let you in or not. There would be the chance that because of your previous illegal stay that you could be still be denied entry even after the 10 year ban expires.

I think once you become a citizen of Canada, you won't have to worry about that 10 year ban since Canadians have visa free entry and there isn't a database out there of people who have a 10 year bar. I think you just have to take a flight and show your passport to customs and they'll stamp it and let you in.

I feel bad for y'all. I got DACA before I turned 18 so I don't have to worry much about coming back to the US if I do qualify for express entry.

You really think the DHS will not have a data base with people banned from the country? They also have our biometrics.

it would really be a case by case basis. we wont know till they deny them when they become Canadian citizens and fly to the US or go to a US port of entry.

But I find it hard to believe that they will cross check every single database if all they have to do is stamp your passport. Getting a visa is a different story.

its the easiest to go to if you qualify through merit-based standards.

it's not that far, and you wouldnt really have to alter or adjust your lifestyle drastically from the United States and you'd only need $12k for show to support yourself in Canada.

since you're only 19, i doubt you would qualify for any merit based visas unless you marry someone from that country or go as an international student.

no, i already have plans to work and study over there if things really go to shit.
but all of you need to be realistic about things, you think canada's going to let every single person in that qualifies?

bro wtf are u talking about? they draw every month for express entry invitations if you score over 440+ and some people under 300 pts get invitations too. the score fluctuates depending on the median score every draw.

451-600 1,057
401-450 29,083
441-450 1,731
431-440 8,030

361-370 6,981
351-360 6,899
301-350 19,750
0-300 3,307

Total 87,566

its up to the person if they want to move or not once they get an ITA. you literally have no idea how any of it works.

not all are gonna qualify anyway, prolly 5% of DACAers only qualify for Express Entry PR.

Hello Guys,
Similar to Zara, I moved to Canada in May and already have my green card. I'll be traveling to India after many many years. I'm an Engineer with only bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience and qualified through express entry. There isn't much difference in lifestyle compared to USA. People are nicer, but that may be just my perception from years and years in NYC. PM me if any of you have questions. This was initially only my backup plan but due to american politics, I made the move.
