Republicans are in charge of the White House, the House and the Senate. It won't be the Dems fault if a shutdown occurs. Republican's failure to govern will be the cause.

Really? Remember the 2013 Gov Shutdown. Do you remember who was blamed? The fucking republicans. And Obama was in office.

I’m sorry Beehive, but you can’t call yourself a negotiator and then call off any type of deals before the negotiations even start, just to later say “never mind come back”. You can call that freedom of speech but I call that dumb and stupid.

And you’re also forgetting that Obama was the president in 2013. Therefore the Dems got most of the blame for the shutdown. This time around is different.

This is excellent news, this adds more pressure to trump and creates an environment where repubs have to comply to some of the Democrat demands.

Hoping DREAM ACT is included in those demands.

Dems should just ask what Trump and Reps are actually willing to give them in exchange of their support/votes. Get to specifics. Sure, no "illegals entering unchecked" but can DREAMers get a permanent fix tho?

That is what it should be not playing stupid games.

Let trump play his stupid games but show some professionalism (the democrats).

I don't see this backfiring on Democrats. I think this will energize the Democratic base. And Democrats can blame Trump. His party is the one in charge.
Right, freedom of speech doesn't come without consequences. You can say whatever you want, but you better be prepared for how the world will react to them, same goes for your actions. Back peddling only makes you look weak and that is why it's important to think and conceptualize what will come after.
