To be honest I wouldn’t apply. I would rather move then to be some 3rd class citizen. The whole point of passing a bill is to get us some permanent relief. This misses the mark. This makes us even more vulnerable.

As of today according to google, 125% of the federal poverty level is $12k. I think the government is basically saying, if you claim welfare or any other federal aid while you are on conditional residency, you are OUT.

I think the same guidelines are applied to people obtaining green cards from family based ties. They can't apply for aid until they become citizens. I learned this from seeing a friend sponsor her mom for a green card.

The bill also requires all recipients to maintain an income 125% of poverty line. Any Dreamers just starting out in the job market or with incomes below that can’t apply. DACA recipients who care for children or elderly parents can’t apply. Disabled DACA recipients can’t apply.

This income requirement continues *forever* no matter what. It demonstrates that the House GOP considers DACA recipients nothing more than the workers, not Americans or people independent of the value of the labor—and only if they maintain a certain level of productivity.

A negative SCOTUS ruling won’t affect any application already being processed.
