Also, question:
Did y'all include pictures, letters to each other, etc. when you submitted the initial packet? I don't know if we should frontload the immigration officers with a lot of the bona-fide-relationship evidence or if we should wait for the interview.
I'm curious about what others have done for this too. I'm front-loading mine just in case, my I-130 'package' alone is over 50 pages, but i also have a unique case. i focused on joint bank statements from different banks, joint car insurance, bills/letters to the same address, old travel tickets for both of us, and pictures

The older edition (12/23/16) according to the USCIS website is still usable until 4/28/17. I wanted to compare and see if a lot has changed or maybe if the older version is simpler.
i have it if you still want. Im using the new one, i think it's a little easier, although some parts are confusing. but it gets rid of both g-325, just asks for one i-130a

I did. I sent in pictures with date at the right bottom from when we got together until we had our child and got married. I sent in life insurance and car insurance. Because we don't have a joint bank account. I sent in I-130 first but when I do submit I-485 they'll see my initial evidence which I rather see before interview so they know where this case is heading.

I read somewhere of someone who had their interview and the officer said it's not about quantity but quality. I didn't overload them with a lot of papers just the really good ones like our child's bc and life insurance car insurance house lease child's baptism certificate and pictures.

Has anyone's spouse had to send in a letter from their employer regarding their salary as proof of financial support? My understanding is that tax returns / bank statements are sufficient to show the ability to show that they can support the beneficiary financially.

The sponsor needs to submit the last year's tax returns. Even if they had an income of 0. Your income can be used. Any cosponsor's income can be used.
Assets can be used to offset the difference on 5 to 1 ratio (every 5 dollars of assets can substitute 1 dollar of income).

Right, but is a letter from the spouse's employer required?

That was me lol, but I got the approval literally 5 hours after the interview, so she was clearly just trying to see how I reacted. She had even said she felt she didn't have enough evidence of our relationship. At the time I freaked internally and left extremely depressed, but my recommendation is to stay courteous no matter what and re-affirm your evidence if prodded.

Regarding the I-485/I-130 paperwork, does anyone know the wait time or best estimate for MSC (from start to finish)? My applications were received 3/02/17 and I curious to know how long it will take before receiving a biometrics letter, having interview schedule, approval, etc.

Thanks!

Lol yes it was! I hope I sent in "enough" it literally was like 5 papers and a few pictures. But I felt like they were really strong evidence. I'm so nervous. I have a pretty straightforward case except for the fact that I was previously married and on paper it looks like I divorced and then 8 months later got re married but I had been seperated for 2 years. I hope it all works out for me!!
