2. If Trump wants money for all of his enforcement executive orders he is signing, he will have to offer some sort of relief or else he can forget about any kind of support from Democrats. He will have to go through congress and offer up some sort of reasonable deal, like maybe nationwide mandatory E-Verify in exchange for RACA. I think Trump might be willing to deal here. He failed in healthcare reform, and the Tax issue isn't looking too good either, so he needs a win. He can point to the latest statistics and claim he has "secured the border" and move for some sort of compromise. It won't be the all inclusive CIR that we want, but whatever he brings to the table is sure to include us as we are the most sympathetic group out there. And I think there are enough Dems that would sign on to something like that, I think we only need like 8 or so.

Hopefully they go with option 2. I would hate to risk losing DACA on the slim chance that it forces action.

For Number 2... He already asked for the money, thats the budget congress has to approve by the end of the month.

I like RACA because of this.

(5) CONVICTION.—The term “conviction” does not include an adjudication or judgment of guilt that has been dismissed, expunged, deferred, annulled, invalidated, withheld, or vacated, an order of probation without entry of judgment, or any similar disposition. Section 101(a)(4(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act shall not apply for purposes of this Act.

If I'm not mistaken anyone with an expunged conviction can qualify. Because it's not going to be considered in the term Conviction.

Unless I"m wrong.

I went to a CIR open panel with some local, state and federal GOP representatives in Modesto a few days ago and when asked, Representative Jeff Denham (R) admitted that it might be harder for Bridge and RACA to pass the house due to the committees they had been assigned to. He also stated that the ENLIST ACT (which he is the original sponsor for) has a higher chance of passing due to the nature of it and it would serve to open up the conversation in the way of "if these kids are willing to die for this country, what else would they be able to contribute to this country."

They all have been advocating for CIR but specifically anything that could help us dreamers and DACA recipients first so I trust in their judgement that any of the bills designed to help us directly have a reasonable chance of passing.

Exactly my thoughts! ENLIST Act is not for everyone but it has the higher chance of passing plus would open the doors for future CIR bills in the future. Just look at the subcommittee on immigration and border security majority members that RACA was referred to they include Rep. Steve King (IA), Lamar Smith (TX), Bob Goodlatte (VA), and of course Jim Sensenbrenner (WI) the author of the anti immigration "Sensebrenner Bill" back in 2005. I really don't see a chance of RACA getting out of that subcommittee with those knuckle heads as members.

That doesnt matter, the leader of the house can still bring it up for a vote if the is discharge (218 votes).

From what the congressman said, the border funding bill will come first and they (CIR/DREAM-friendly congressmen) were thinking of adding language in there to make it easier for them to bring up ENLIST, BRIDGE, and RACA in the near future. Fingers crossed!!!

Seems legit.
