RAC Act *is* the permanent solution. Not an idea, an actual Republican bill with many sponsors that we can ask any Democratic Senator to introduce or co-sponsor in the Senate. California Dreamers, OR Dreamers, and WA Dreamers need to lead and lead quickly on this. I live in WA and work in health care.
I have two very important fights, one personal and one professional: to receive permanent status (aged out of DACA) and to fight for our patients to save the ACA. I have participated in rallies, phone banks, etc, here in WA to support health care access for all and I will fight like hell to be included in any DreamAct related legislation!!

We became complacent with the previous administration and allowed people with a financial incentive in lobbying for CIR, but not achievements for the immigrant community to decide our futures. DACA was realized ny Dreamers' work, not politicians or non-profit serial underachievers.

I have hopes that bridge act will be the glue for now... I really feel optimistic about it. For one, it does not offer legal status, it is technically, legal DACA.
With the constant health care, tax, and budget fights there will be no time the BRIDGE Act. And it's clear that Congress won't give any money for the wall. I don't see this thing ending well.

This. Those who aged out and who didn't make the June 15 cutoff date are DREAMers too
I hope they revise the BRIDGE Act.

"Members will be working over the next several weeks to develop a strategy before leaving for the August break, with a special focus this week and next on House speaker Paul Ryan to see whether he’ll speak in favor of DACA recipients, as he has before."

This is going to fall under Paul Ryan's hands!!!

People keep talking about 'aging out' of DACA...I thought you couldn't 'age out', you just aren't eligible in the first place?

This is going to fall under Paul Ryan's hands!!
Paul Ryan can only do so much. This is going to fall under Pelosi's hands, because in order to get any immigration relief bill through the House, we will need Democratic votes and Nancy Pelosi has made it very clear that she will NOT compromise in any shape or form even if it means getting immigration relief for some undocumented immigrants.
