As much as we hate the guy, we really should give credit to Trump on handling this right now. Here's a couple of major points which makes me very optimistic.

- He said he would end Obama's "illegal amnesties on Day 1". He did not.
- Because of him, the entire country now knows the Dreamers and DACA is number 1 issue at the moment being talked about my the media.
- He is truly pushing Congress to act. He has put the Dems in a corner. This issue is CONGRESS's responsibility. It can't just continue existing as an act of prosecutorial discretion.
- After the decision tomororw, I truly think DACA recipients will be EVEN SAFER than before with endorsement from Trump himself. Even a lot of his supporters are starting to support Dreamers.

I just don't think we can afford to keep blaming Trump and demonizing him on tomorrows decision. It does appear that at least he's giving a 6 month time frame for Congress to act. But Dems must understand that he will not sign a bill that doesn't have enforcement measures!

Is the BRIDGE Act renewalable like DACA, or is it just 3 years and done?

Also does anyone remember when DACA came out, there was a line that said it was only renewable up to 5 years? Then this line mysteriously disappeared?

Wasn't Joe Donnelley one of the blue dog senators that killed DA?

Sherrie Brown, and the Dem Pennsylvania senator are also on board, its good to see the democrats from states trump won, standing by us.

There’s also Joe Donnelly, the new Indiana senator whose 2010 congressional campaign included a promise to “deport illegals who commit felonies and eliminate amnesty, because no one should ever be rewarded for breaking the law.” He even voted against the DREAM Act, rejecting what seems to be a consensus position in the Democratic Party.

The ideal legislation would give us a path towards citizenship, but I'm not sure if the current political climate with Congress (failure to repeal ObamaCare and debt ceiling/ tax debates coming) and Trump (Russia/Impeachment) really help Dreamers out.

In three years when the BRIDGE Act would be close to ending, maybe Democrats can take back the House and the Senate along with the presidency.

This could lead to the real DREAM Act.

Coffman is going to use a discharge petition to force a vote without having to get it through committe. This is our best chance.
