It's OK to be optimistic, it does better things for you than the alternative, trust me.

And for those of us who are older than the majority of people on this forum, it's also OK to be understandably pessimistic. Especially those of us who don't even have DACA and have lived in the shadows for an absurd amount of time. Only those who have endured such circumstances are capable of understanding why it's easy to gravitate towards a negative outlook on things, and particularly immigration matters.

Look, all i'm suggesting is for everyone to take a realistic approach at the current situation. The Trump administration is now casting a much wider net than Obama did. And of course we have no clue what's going to happen with DACA, for those that do have it. But everyone should have a plan in place.

And i mean have a solid plan in place right now. Pretend DACA will be repealed tomorrow and ICE will come knocking on your door step the day after.

Will you be ready if that happens?

I feel terrible for those with children and families, that's where it makes it hard to read about shit like that. But that's the world we currently live in.

If you have a way to adjust your status other than relying on DACA, then do it. Don't wait.
