Did you hear Republicans claim they have resolved the tax reform in the Senate even though some of the oppositions felt they needed to align with the party over their "arguments"? They have the majority. What that means is if we can probably assume the worst case (which is likely to happen with one or two revisions) the spending bill will pass in the Senate without much a hiccup.

Spending bill cannot pass the Senate without Dem votes. It requires 60 votes.

Sure, just 8 votes away. It's a big number, but we gotta watch out for assholes in the Dem party.

They said the same about the tax reform. You have to wait till the very last second. Remember we keep saying if the gov is shut down, Republican gets blamed. None of them want to be blamed, so they are going to align with the party at the very end, after one or two revisions. This means there is still a low chance (I am aware) some conservative Dem will get pulled away.

Often politicians are swigged by the blast of their constituents and overwhelming disapproval rating/poll result. So let's cross fingers Rep gets all the blame across the country. There is a recent poll on Jones vs Moore which suggests Moore is now leading again as allegation gets quiet and forgotten. Should it happened two weeks before election, probably a whole different result, so again let's cross fingers Jones get elected so Republican has one fewer seat in the Senate next year.

My prediction is that Trump will eventually tweet out all the 10 Democrats that are up for re-election in 2018 in red States that he won single handedly and put them on blast by calling them weak on crime, on immigration and taxes.

Schumer needs to keep his team together. I'm not too worried about Nancy.
