The whole process including AP (plain tickets) cost me around $8,000.
You just have to bring ur green card and your old social security card to a social security office and they will change your status. You will have to fill out another ss application. I received my new card in about a week.

GUYSSS, I'm getting worried.

We submitted our package on March 28, 2017, and I did my bios exactly a month later on April 28, 2017. Since then, radio silence. What gives?

I'm a visa overstay who married a USC, and we both make enough for the income requirement. The only thing that I can think of that might delay our process is the fact that I also submitted an I-102 because I had lost my original I-94. Do you think that's why?

I want to call USCIS, but I remember all the times that I called them when my DACA renewal was delayed and how unhelpful they were. What should I do?

Adjustment of Status is a totally different process because it is residency. Therefore, the only thing that can be done is to either contact to inquire about your application or wait.

Wow this thread is from 2013 we really need people to post newer experiences and start a new thread. How is the process now, how much money did it cost? I hear people spending THOUSANDS like a downpayment for a nice home amounts. How???? I mean if you can file DACA isn't it rather similar just a bit more expensive I would expect under 2K, maybe I am just too ignorant.

I had my bios done August 2016 and didn't hear about interview until end of November 2016... Interview 12/15/16. It can take time...

Btw, if anyone can answer this:
is the interview around the same 5-7 month period if you've been married less than 2 years?
