Ok guys and gals:

I just got into the office. I just want to get one thing cleared up. DACA people get Green Cards immediately or is it a Provisional Green Card?

I believe provisional. 5 years after that you'll be eligible for green card and citizenship.

From my understanding, DACA receipts still have to meet the RPI guidelines under the Dream Act, but we will have a streamlined process for PR?

But it does say the Secretary may decide to implement a "streamlined" process for DACA recipients. I HOPE this means immediate green card.

Neither, RPI status just like the rest but for 5 years, although those who got DACA benefits might get conditional permanent residency right away or at least faster than those who didn't apply for DACA.

Yes, I notice we have to go through RPI, even if we have degrees and/or have been approved for DACA. Oh well. :- ) It's still great.

Let's wait for the final product. So many things can change.

I think the only exception mentioned is for those who have a medical condition . . . I think those people would be exempted from the 5-year wait.

Yes. DACA and dreamers will have to go through 5 years of provisional status.

DACA is nothing but deferred prosecutor discretion

I doubt it. It will be to help us transition smoothly and easily into RPI. So, I doubt that those who have been approved will need a lawyer to apply for RPI.
