So far, so good.
You've made the most sensible post in this forum so far. This is much needed to make Democrats come and negotiate. It is up to them to propose a more permanent solution. They can't afford to sit back with status quo.

They should counter offer. This bullshit about reopening the government first doesn't fly because they will not give him shit once he does that. They don't want to give him any wins on immigration because they want to use the issue against him against 2020.

Well, I guess he’s not getting any wall funds.

I remember reading somewhere Nancy Pelosi doesn’t have DACA as her top priority. It’s campaign finance, voter rights, and some other leftist issue.

Dammit trump, you fucked up again. Our orangest leader needs to figure out what will pass the congress and start there.

Once Feburary and some change arrives, and the food stamps run out, there will be something that will happen. I hope a compromise is reached before our poor and downtrodden suffer the brunt of his kidnapping of the federal government.

Lol also on breitbart the republitards think we're getting played somehow. Silly republitards, it is you who has gotten played by orangest in command.

Do you still "not care for the reasons behind anything"?

Lol how are any of those “leftist” issues?
This is the type of shit that has us in limbo. Fixing daca is not leftist but restoring voting rights is?
That’s the type of opinion you find on FOX news. I really thought most of us were/are smarter than that.

This Has been my theory. I think trump wants to save DACA. Key word “HE” not Republicans definetly not Democrats. He, wants all the glory. So it’s gonna be a while before both side give up but when they do and they will... here comes trump ton”save the day”. Watch

They should counter offer or say open up government then negotiate. The most important thing is Trump cannot get his wall without attaching a solution for dreamers. When it happens, it doesn't matter if the government is opened or not doesn't matter (to dreamers at least).

It'll be a bad look if democrats didn't do anything about DACA (at least negotiate either when government is opened or right now). Trump will say "look, the democrats don't care about DACA." Also, dreamers aren't the only undocumented community. Dems can still campaign on immigration. Feinstein said she wants to the people working in the california farmer fields, Obama also wanted to do something dreamers' parents (with DAPA).

There's more people supporting a permanent solution for DACA than not. Even the CATO institute and Koch brothers agree.

That's correct but none of those are immigration related. It'd look really weird if she says give me campaign finance, voter rights, etc for the wall instead of DACA. They aren't related so it's really hard to negotiate. The most obvious thing is DACA (or better) + TPS (or better) for wall (5.7 billion or more).

If dems don't at least negotiate now or after the government is opened for DACA, the republicans will roast them and get latino votes back.
