So I got two letters today
One is the biometric appointment
Another is my RFIE requesting an I130A. I had no clue about that form so only now looking at it for the first time

Do you think if they sent me the biometrics that means I can still get my EAD in the 90 days ?
Why am I required to file the 130A? Is that the new forms and stuff?

I-130A is like a new G-325A but just for I-130 petitions. It's new since last month, I believe.

Your EAD is on hold right now until you have respond to them with the proper evidence. You could feel a small delay, some do - some don't.
Looks like I will receive the RFIE. I will have it ready.

I ended up calling USPS and they were able to hold my package. I went there, and they had my package!!!

Ended up receiving full refund.

I will add the I-130A document to my package and ship it tomorrow.

Thanks Gordo!

just wondering if there is anyone here who is in the process or has been approved for GC while being married and living apart from their spouse? (for example, living in different states).

My bf and I plan on getting married soon. We have been together for over 2 years. I'm close to finishing up college, and he already finished years ago. He had to move away to a major city for a job (to become a police officer) since he could not find a job in our state. I was wondering how difficult it would be to provide evidence of a bona fide marriage with living apart. I will be graduating in a year with my B.S. and I plan on moving in with him. We were thinking of getting married so that I can adjust my status and we could be safe. We are about 3.5 hours away and I visit him every month.
Omg! You're situation is like mine. My fiance lives in Maryland and I live in Pennsylvania. He moved there because he wanted to become a police officer (he is now). He wanted to get married asap so I can adjust my status and we don't have the enough money for a wedding ceremony with friends and family so we are going to do a civil wedding with just him and I. I kind of concerned too on how to proved that it'll be a bona fide wedding since we won't be living together until we get married.

For those who submitted AOS, what is the expiration of the new EAD you receive prior to obtaining the green card?

Do you guys think there's a correlation between EAD receipt and the interview?
based on my timeline I would say no. my case was received March 22, and by May 2 the case was 'ready to be scheduled interview'. so basically about a month and a few days. not sure if that's normal. But I havent received my EAD. I just hit 90 days yesterday so hopefully it goes into production soon since my DACA EAD expires in late August

i think the long wait comes from the local office after the case status is updated to ready to schedule, and is sent to the local office. For me its NYC so it'll probably be a while before they schedule it

google lists of bona fide evidence, put them all together and gather as many as you can. Different websites offer some different ideas. If you won't be living together then all the evidence you collect will be really important. The basics are file taxes together, have joint bank accounts, credit cards, etc etc

Have you two lived together? How long you two been together? Do you have joint account? Do you have lease on both names before?
