After receiving text and email messages regarding my AOS package and that the I-797 receipts were sent. How long does it take to receive them through mail?

Good Morning guys! I'm in the process of getting all my paperwork started for AOS. I've hit a wall when my attorney told me my spouse does not make enough. We are a two ppl household and he told the income must be above 26,000.00. I've looked online everywhere says 20,000.00. I found the 2017 updated numbers and that also says 20,000.00. Anyone have this problem? Should I get a new attorney? Help! Thanks in advance

Are you working? If so, you can just include your income as well. If your attorney didn't tell you that, you should get a different attorney.

To add to Osito's above, dont forget you also can include assets, such as checking/savings, house/mortgage, cars, etc. i agree that if attorney didnt tell you these things you're better off getting a different one or doing it yourself.

I know I didn't put exact amounts because I didn't have them on hand. But my point was that I've seen the 20,300. For a two person household. The attorney was telling me it has to be over 26 for sure. But thank you all for your help!

He did not tell me that I could include our income even though I told him that I am working. Both of our incomes combined would put us way over the requirement. I will most def be looking into getting a new attorney. Thank you!
