In talk w reporters today, @LeaderHoyer didn't rule out trading a DACA fix for more border fencing. He also reasserted the idea that government shutdowns should be "akin morally" to chemical warfare.

Why would democrats offer anything? Democrats are playing their cards right by not wanting to work anything out. This is showing trump they’re serious about this. Don’t you remember the last shutdown and who got blamed and why? In the last shutdown Democrats got blamed and daca was reason for. Trump took advantage of it and had a field day blaming DACA and Democrats for it.


Trumps latest proposal included a 3 year DACA Raped PATCH it was horrible, reapply again, new criteria’s and another fee on top of the old one. And he wanted $5.7 billion in exchange


Democrats can’t just start showing their cards because trump will immediately switch blame to them.


Essentially Democrats are showing some balls here. Once and if trump mentions path to citizenship in exchange for his wall and at this point $5.7 billion then they will come to tjetbale to negotiate on HIS proposal not theirs

There’s no reason we can’t find a permanent solution on DACA, TPS and securing our border.

As a businessman, I will continue to fight for solutions that make sense in the real world, even if they don’t make sense in Washington.

You anti blue wavers needs to get, the moment Democrats themselves bring daca with path to citizenship first it’s the moment they’re done for. Trump is desperate to shift blame unto them, he knows everyone blames him for this shutdown but he just can’t go to twitter and complain about the democrats. Unless it’s them who come to him with a proposal which he will reject and then cry on Twitter “Democrats want to give illegal aliens citizenship in exchange for border wall!”


And then bam just like everyone will shift blame to the democrats just like last shutdown. But if trump comes and says “we need to offer these people a path to citizenship in exchange for for a Wall” it’ll be HIS idea


The man is $&@#%^ed in every way possible; everyone blames him for the shutdown, his base is growing tired he isn’t delivering his promised wall, Democrats have him right where they want him and they’re waiting for him to say it first
