Republicans are the only ones to blame here.

The right to filibuster legislation is meant to achieve key compromises between both parties, but Republicans are filibustering every single bill, even if they don't find anything wrong with them, just for the sake of prolonging the debate. Democrats have been forced to invoke cloture for almost all legislation passed so far, and it doesn't seem like Republicans are willing to cooperate in the future.

Just today, a handful of Republicans filibustered a bill to give the FDA more authority over tobacco regulations. Because of this, they could spend up to 30 hours bickering about something that's already certain to pass anyway. By the way, days since their last filibuster: one - yesterday.

It's because of this abuse of power by Republicans that all bills including, health care reform, energy bills, immigration reform etc. keep getting pushed back, and so little progress is being made.

been to Madrid, Spain... back in 1997, to watch a soccer game... it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!... everyone is so respectful and tries to help out one another... it was clean, there were super old structures, it looked beautiful.

... and the girls omfg... but then again; girls my age at that time (7 years old)... they have no goodies.

What's so messed up about this. They're moving it a week back to accommodate Obama's travel schedule... if the president of the united states can't be there, what's the point of holding a meeting? it's better to take things slow and find solutions than to try and rush like every other attempt and fail miserably.

it's a week. we'll survive.

For f****'s sake do not keep delaying the inevitable!! Where are the politics of unity....and all that other good stuff Obama spoke about. Now, I know I am thinking too emotionally, logically this is another strategic move by the White House to increase the passage of CIR, in my opinion.
