Again, it's an error. S.1639 is the CIR bill.

I'll contact Nick to fix it so there's no confusion.

I see its a mistake on this forum i see that he voted ney for dream bill in 2007 but for CIR he voted yea. All in all he has votes yea for number of CIR bills. All in all he might just vote yea this year at least i hope so and I'm sure you would hope so too.

Graham supports some form of CIR, but he doesn't seem to support the DA standalone.

Also, why don't you give Sen. Sessions a visit and tell him about your situation. I doubt we will hear from you again as he would probably call ICE.

First of all i wouldn't mind talking to Sessions and second of all ICE cant really do anything i'm under EB-1 just waiting, within the next few months things should work out. I never said sessions was willing to work with CIR but by giving into things such as Border Security which he has been fighting for ever and crack down illegal employment. In return others might favor CIR and the dream act Its funny how all the senior members attack the junior members in this forum? At times like this rather than debating each other we should work together with each other and think strategically..

Fair enough, but I don't think anyone was attacking you. There was an error, and we were simply pointing it out. The Sessions comment may have been too much, but not many people see Sen. Sessions in a favorable light.

This seems to be a pretty common thing among the members of the Senate. I wonder why it is personally. The DA is such a clear-cut bill(honestly, either you are in favor of it or you're not...I think its pretty hard to convince anybody to support it if they have made up their mind and are against it), while CIR is a mess that even I wouldn't want to debate on. I guess the problem with the DA is that it's only pro-immigration and the Republican senators will not have a leg to stand on when answering questions from their anti-immigration constituents...if they decide to vote in favor of it that is. At least with the CIR they can still save face and say "Hey, look the system was broken and we managed to fix it. And furthermore, we included in the bill some advanced border security and employment verification provisions". When CIR finally gets to be on the Senate floor these same people will keep on introducing ridiculous anti-immigration amendments that will have no chance of passing just so they can reiterate their stance on immigration.

Politics is just idiotic....and disgusting.
