It says we won't get charged the $500 fine but we will have to pay the application fees... and those will probably cost us quite a bit

It is not even that big a deal. Having a work permit (at least) anyone could earn higher wage if they have the confidence and skills.

I don't care. I'm ready to pay whatever fines/applications/etc no matter what they cost to make this finally go away.

I agree... I wasn't complaining. I was just saying.

+1. Whatever the cost, it's worth it.

I'll pay whatever fee/fine I have to just to get my citizenship.
Who cares? The amount we pay now will onlly be a fraction of what we'll make with the help of our legal status.

Good step in the right direction. I'm looking forward to 2010.

... ^^ I highly doubt this part goes through. Completely waters down the process.

That and a lot of other stuff, bro. Classic legislating, though -- start with a lot in order to come down. At any rate, the final bill will look more like the "unicorn" bill that Schumer still has to introduce.

I don't mean to take the wind out of anybody's sails but the only good thing about the introduction is just that it puts pressure on congress to act. However, the one in the senate is the one that matters.

Listen, Screw the fines, screw the timetable, screw the speculations. We're grown, and way past all that. You could charge me a million dollars, and delay the work on the bill till the sun falls out the sky.
I just want to work, and drive. Is that too f----n' much to ask after all these years in the nation i grew up in? Seriously?
All i want, is to be able to say, "Well It's about DAMN time, Thank You JESUS".
