They'll never completely get rid of family sponsorship. Because people will still want to legally bring their spouses and children to the U.S. IMO, they'll probably allow direct relatives like your parents, spouse and dependent children under 21. And they have to do something about these horrendous wait times. I mean people are waiting 20 years to immigrate from the Philippines. By the time a family's case comes up their kids are all over 21.
