McCain Scores Surprise Victory on Border Security - Page 2

Call me a hypocrite, but I would say the same thing. If I lived in this country for x amount of years and my family roots traced back a few generations, I would be a complete ass about it. I would not want to repeat the same mistake again.

Eventually, I would give in, seeing as there is a lot of support, and I would be a spoiled brat and ask for tough border security first. I would ask for new technology and troops to prevent people from crossing the border illegally and also ask that employers be penalized for hiring illegal immigrants. I would be such a douche haha

I can't wait till the day Sen. McCain loses. I will flip him off while smiling.

If McCain loses, Hayworth wins. Is that what you want?

They are both the same in my eyes. Both are trying extra hard to appeal to the tea baggers and appear to be extra conservative.

Border Security First is not the answer! Those who hold this view tend to use analogies such as: “first we need to stop the bleeding.” Analogies are nice because they can be used to illustrate complex problems. However, they unfortunately lose many vital components of the complex problem in translation. While “first we need to stop the bleeding” may make a nice sound-bite for the nightly news, or a nice slogan for a political campaign, it doesn’t really hold much weight if we take a closer look. Simply stated, national borders and labor flows are very different from the skin on your arm and the blood in your veins.

They're not.
JD Hayworth's career revolves around anti-immigration laws. That guy will NEVER support any kind of reform unless it strictly involves deportation. If he wins senate, we're screwed.
On the other hand, McCain has supported reforms in the past, and only now that he's campaigning is he flip-flopping on the subject. It'll be easier to sway him once he's in the office without any pressure of re-election. So yeah...we're better off with him.
