Out of ~40 cosponsors of the Dream Act 39 are Democrat and 1 is a Republican.

Every single state legislature that has proposed Arizona-like immigration crackdowns has been led by Republicans.

The only Republicans we can really rely on if DREAM comes for a vote are:

Senator Richard Lugar

Senator Sam Brownback

Senator Susan Collins

Senator Olympia Snowe

Senator Bob Bennett

Senator Orrin Hatch

*** They all voted to move it forward back in 2007***

Democrats who are just not going to vote for it are:

Senator Robert Byrd

Senator Max Baucus

Senator Byron Dorgan

Senator Mary Landrieu

Senator Jon Tester

Senator Mark Pryor

I hold out hope that Lemieux and Brown would vote for cloture. Heartless beings if they completely disregard DREAMERs from their respective states of Florida and Massachusetts. McCain is most likely hopeless, but I still ache for the McCain in 2006 who did Co-sponsor DREAM.

I have no words for Landrieu.

Agreed on McCain. In all honesty, I wanted him to win presidency for this reason. Im not a republican by any means, but look at past amnesties and who was president during that. Such a flip flopper.
