The last amnesty(Immigration reform), which occurred during Reagan's administration, was introduced right before elections and it passed. This is a 50/50 shot, but its worth it.

I did some research and it was enacted on November 6, which is 4 days after the election. Although I don't want to get too excited, I am hopeful that something will happen.
