“Fairly soon after [tax cuts], the Senate will move to the debate on START ratification,” Gibbs said. “This is a treaty that has the votes to pass the Senate and I believe will pass the Senate before we go home for the holidays.”

Although Gibbs indicated that Congress would likely be in session through this weekend and into next week, time continues to run out on the National Defense Authorization Act and the newly introduced stand-alone repeal bill.

No way they will work until jan 5th lol. Won't that be the day or near the day when the new congress starts, with the new house leadership?

I have a final tomorrow... I wish I could be like Reid and say to my professor: " we are not going to go take this final and go on break...until I study and be certain that ill pass it!!!"

"It is the right thing to do, you must give people like me a chance to get an A. It is not my fault that I didn't study for this exam earlier. You shouldn't penalize people like me... rather punish the ones that forcefully brought me to the night party, which was very far away from my native dorm. I have a dream to pass this exam, and be respected by fellow americans for getting a good grade. I am as much unready as the other students taking this exam... "

"So I urge my fellow students to look at my proposal one more time, and unanimously agree to have it pass"

Quite to the contrary. This gives them an excuse to go home. Remember, if the vote is 59-2, and two people filibuster, it is dead. So most of them could go home if they want
