I actually think his responses to those questions were quite candid, intellectual, and thorough.

They aren't the responses many of you may have wanted to hear. They are however, exactly the responses that I would expect from my President.

President Obama is a highly intelligent man who thinks of the many potential consequences to his actions. He has the enviable ability to temper his emotions, be analytical, and execute the option that best promotes the well-being for the greatest number of people.

Our time will come.

I'm starting to think the american Mexican border will never be "secured" because they really do want this "American Union" one day . We will all be on the Amero money system . It's starting to look more and more realistic with all the bullshit coming out of Obama's mouth lately .

Obama is not full of shit. This is politics and I don't think you guys are understanding him or how politics work.

"With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that's just not the case," the president said.

"There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as president," Obama said.

This is very true. If he suspends the deportations, then he would be over his jurisdiction. People believe that he's allowed to do anything. He cannot do whatever he wants and people need to understand that.

Regarding the TPS issue, he is not allowed to do such a thing. He cannot just order TPS for students, he would have to do it for every Mexican in the United States. This info is taken from USCIS:

The Secretary may designate a country for TPS due to the following temporary conditions in the country:

Ongoing armed conflict (such as civil war)
An environmental disaster (such as earthquake or hurricane)
Other extraordinary and temporary conditions

Change "doesn't happen overnight," he reminded his listeners. "So many changes that we've made had to do with young people being willing to struggle and fight to make sure that their voices are heard."

Granted, the Dream Act didn't just happen overnight. People have been fighting for the Dream Act for ten years, but sadly, some legislation takes FOREVER to pass and is done by taking baby steps first. For example, most states would have to enact their own versions of Dream Act in the states first, and then after enough states have enacted the Dream Act, the executive branch might see it as an issue and thus implement it nationally. Currently, there are only 10 states that have in-state tuition and 3 states that give state financial aid (please correct me if I'm wrong. It's been a while since I looked how many states offer in-state tuition). 10 states is not the majority. Once enough states start implementing their own version of Dream Act, then we might have a better chance.

That's the reason why he asked us to write to our Congress and tell them to support the Dream Act. Sadly though, as an intern with an assemblymember in the past, not enough people sent letters regarding to support the Dream Act. More people sent letters regarding that he should not vote for the California Dream Act. Thus meaning, that people who are against us, are more politically active than we are.

Once minorities and younger people start voting and start being more politically active, then even the Republicans will have to start listening to us.

Actually, I think he wouldn't do sh*t unless he wins a second term...which is not very likely, unless he pulls a miracle out of his ass.
