We need a third party, immigration-reform candidate. This is obviously an attempt to win Latino votes without doing anything and it makes me want to vomit.

Sometimes when I read the comments of all the 12 year olds here I say to myself, "Should the Dream Act Pass"?

Whatever your opinion is, whatever idieology you support, he is the PRESIDENT, You must respect him. You must understand that immigration is a very controversial issue, and one man can't do it by himself. In order to pass anything in both the senate and the house they have to have a super majority and republicans were voting against everything 100%. In order to change this, we must change the sentiment towards us of the American people, and disrespecting our president calling him "liar" is one of those changes. I seriously hope you get educated on the issues and in politics overall.

GOP is gonna blame Democrats of playing politics with it, Ahead of Presidential elections....blah blah blah......

I am not going to be submissive and respect cynical leaders. I respect Durbin and Gutierrez, but not the President. Whether you like it or not, he is a liar. Just because I dissent, does not mean I lack knowledge on politics.

Moreover, if I saw that he fervently tried to get congress to pass immigration reform and failed for whatever reason, I would respect him. I would say that he is doing the best he can, but he is not. I want you to understand that failure is not the issue. IT IS HIS EVIDENT LACK OF SUFFICIENT PRESSURE ON THE ISSUE, HIS MANIPULATION OF THE TOPIC FOR POLITICAL GAIN, AND HIS DECEIT OF THE LATINO VOTERS. That is what pisses me off. Hence, the words: Obama, you liar.

Of course, you could tell me to get over it. But, I refuse to. He promised immigration reform in the first year, but he did nothing---liar. Even worse, immigration raids and deportations have increased without giving into what Republicans see as border security in ORDER TO GARNER SUPPORT FOR CIR. He is not doing enough, and you know it.

It is clearly another politricks strategy to gain and show support from latino voters. Why not come up with something that has more shots of passing like the DA?? I mean if these guys didnt want to legalize 2 million educated people who graduated from high school, speak the language, and are willing to serve in the military, what in this frkn world makes you guys think that they will want to legalize the guy that has 5 kids and is getting a welfare check for each and one of them......Seriously, its exactly what the usc are tired of.

If this is the case then we should be expecting a CIR bill in 2013 because he clearly will not need any more votes. It would totally suck if he completely forgets about it on the other hand though lol..lets hope he pulls us out of the ditch as well while getting out of it.

We must respect him because he is the President?! What kind of twisted thinking is that?

The office of the president is still just a job, whose salary is covered by every tax paying individual in the US. Every person in the US, who pays taxes, is the figurative shareholder of the US government-enterprise, even though they hardly ever see any returns. As such, every person holding public office is nothing more than an employee of such institution, ultimately working for the shareholders and not the other way around. These politicians do not generate any revenue by themselves, but instead waste a great deal of it through poor management, while all of their expenses are covered by others. And they deserve respect for what exactly? The shitty job they are doing?
