This speech was crap, nothing new. one thing i liked was that he made fun of republicans by saying " what do you want aligators, sharks, a mine field" etc. also, i did not like when he said i've been asked to bypass congress, that's not how democracy works. blah blah blah. so i don't know. his speech was just a piece of shit.

i was expecting something along the lines of " republicasn are cowards and backstabbers i have done my part by securing the border but they havent, so i have asked my administration to grant temporary relief to all dreamers, until republicans agree to solve this issue"

Crap or not he's the only president in history to carry on the fight for reform like this.. Aside from reagan . Who else would do that???? It's not the president's fault it's Republicans.. Keep that in mind..

bush showed more pressure than obama has, bush even offer a 2 or 4 billion dollar aid package if congress passed CIR. However, i have to say that he did all of this on his second term.

and yes you are right, alot of presidents havent carried their speeches like obama, president clinton did not gave this many speeches, but he offered the 245 and extension of 245i. he actually did something, whether it was something small as the 245i, and not a complete CIR, he actually gave some relief.

I'm disappointed, but I didn't really expect him to go into this thing and put forth an actual, tangible plan. At least now we have our answer regarding his potential use of an executive order: He won't bypass Congress.

EDIT: I take that back. Apparently, the WH published a "plan" on their website.
