This is exciting! Republicans appear to want this e-verify badly. This year is a good time to pressure them to compromise on the DREAM Act. I think Senate Democrats should not only combine the E-verify bill with the DREAM Act but also Ag Jobs in order to crush major concerns about the adverse effects to the agriculture sector. This inclusion of Ag Jobs might gain the support of some Republicans.

Could happen. But, I think Reid and Durbin will make sure that Republicans do not get ENOUGH votes from Democrats to advance E-verify as a stand alone bill.

There is nothing like a great speech from Senator Durbin on the Dream Act to lift your spirits..
