I think you guys should be pulling for Perry. I feel positive he would pass something immigration related. Think about the balls it took to say that, IN A REPUBLICAN PRIMARY. Right to their face. Obama would just cower in the corner. Even though he says he doesn't support the Federal Dream Act, he is the type of guy I could see bending (Like George W).

And the other advantage of Perry is he could bring along other Republicans with him. They will just oppose Obama becaue he is Obama.

And saying "None of these clowns will beat Obama" Well no President been reelected with above 7% unemployment since 1936. I think you guys are really fooling yourself. Romney is beating Obama in some polls. Also, at this point in George Bush Sr. presidency, his approval was at close to 90% and then he got whooped by Clinton a year later...for the economy

well, the early front runners almost never make it in the end. Remember Howard Dean and Hillary Clinton? Neither of them became president. Most likely than not, it's another underdog that no one has talked about yet.

I've been watching the GOP debates and they are ALL ridiculous. The tea party nutjobs will give Obama a victory in 2012, I guarantee it.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. For having the balls to stick to his guns and not cower is a plus in my book. Frankly, the Democrats are spineless people. They had a majority in both houses and they did nothing but pussyfoot. I may not like the Repulicans sometimes, but they have balls. That which the Democrats do not have and most likely will never have. If Obama wins again, I fear it's the same ol rhetoric. Just talk, no action. More pssyfooting.

Perry will likely win the Republican nomination. History has shown that candidates who lean more towards the political center tend to gain the party nomination. I don't think people should write him off. I think he has a chance at defeating Obama if he continues to to appeal to what the electorate wants.

No nominees from the Repugnican Party will win without some sort of immigration stance. Perry/Hunstaman are the only two who have a chance against Obama. The US is not made of white voters. The only reason there's such high voters among them is because of senior citizens going up the ballot box.

77 percent of the electorate in 2010 was white, while 6.9 percent was Latino. Just because there are alot of latinos here doesn't mean they can or do all vote

So based on that, if you can do math, if you lose 1 percent of the white electorate, it takes an 11 percent gain in the latino electorate to equal it. Obama won last time because he had a lot of support from white voters

Because of a high turnout from older people. A lot of younger college educated voters voted for Obama.

Lets not forget a lot of young voters, mostly college students, came out in record numbers to vote for Obama. I wouldn't be surprised if many of these individuals were first time voters. Simply put, I just don't see young voters to be swayed by the ideology that Republicans follow. Plus Obama campaign has incredible social networking skills. It really is going to take some task to beat him and I feel like Rick Perry is the man for it. Bachmann should immediately join the cheerleading squad to start cheering for Perry.
