1. Obama
a) sign Federal DA when it reaches his desk? Yes
b) do something to push DA? Maybe.

2. Rick Perry
a) sign Federal DA when it reaches his desk? Maybe
b) do something to push DA? NO

I'm mad at Obama for not keeping his words during campaign in 2008. Rick Perry said clearly that he will not sign DA (trying to appeal to Repub or not, it doesn't matter).

The only reason why Rick Perry signed Texas DA is because the population of Hispanics in his state favors him to do so. Rick Perry is already under a lot of criticism from republicans for his stance in immigration. He will not pursue any further for politically incompetent group of people just like you wouldn't cross your line to help out some bums on the street.

Sorry, anybody who thinks Rick Perry or any Republican will be better for us is an idiot. I'm in Texas. I've seen what his policies have done. First he made it impossible to apply for driver's licenses without proof of citizenship status. Then he went one step forward and changed the policy to require proof of citizenship for RENEWALS. Nobody made him to do this, HE did it. Once that went into courts, he held a special session to make this be the law and REQUIRE DMV's to ask for proof of citizenship for renewals and even legal visitors and those on student visas have to have a special license.

Don't get fooled by the hair.

I should not complain, I only applied just now, my second year of community college I got 1,500 for the year. I only wish Mr. Perry would not had done away with id's and driving licenses.
