usually what they want is a signed affidavit slip that you prmomise that ull seek citizenship in the near future, its sort of a way so that they can assure that state money is going to help out ppl who are and will be a part of the state, not visitors, obviously its not that easy to get citizenship, but the point is the intent to contribute to american society vs a handout which this isnt as theres still fees to be paid vs financial aid to cover it all as most american students do

Any AB540 will be eligible for AB31.

I won't be surprised if it is. While it's fantastic that CA Dreamers would benefit from this law, our argument has always been that we don't receive any aid whatsover from the government. Our opponents are already clamoring that in-state tuition is a handout. How much more now that a segment of our group would be eligible for state aid?
