If it really does become an opportunity we should stand together and demand that we negotiate the terms and the democrats don't throw another hail marry into the abyss of bullshit. No citizenship just green cards, no public aid blah blah blah blah. If this is our last chance contact your senators and your governors and your community leaders because if we keep letting those not affected by this issue handle it they'll keep screwing it up.

^Hec yes.

If I may add, the President also has to use all of his political clout on this. When the issue of immigration comes up, it seems as though he disappears or is on the outskirts looking in.

I see what you mean. Especially when Democrats are considering the option of attaching the McCain and Kyl border security bill to the DA. I am really curious to see how everything will develop. If a miracle happens, I will literally disregard my legs and jump off my house out of so much happiness.

This is were KingKong's comment makes sense. If know this is coming up, we need to mobilize to let Democrats know that will not tolerate this "theatrical" bs. We know who is on our side. What we want now is for the congressional Democrats and the President to do some heavy lifting.

Why is it that the President goes on relatively long bus tours to pressure congress to act on a jobs bill but not on an immigration policy??????! Why is it that Democrats had the whole year to take up the issue of immigration seriously, but an immigration policy will be addressed at the end of the year????????!!!!!!!! Some of you might say that he cannot do anything because Democrats need to control both chambers, but any type of immigration policy will not be passed if there isn't some compromise. If our President is waiting for Democrats to gain control of both chambers, he is a blatant, inconsiderate idiot. Our damn lives are in limbo. Quit being a punk and pressure Republicans damn it.

Ya'll know the house of Representatives is scheduled to go on vacation December 8th, there's not going to be a vote on nothing this year, This BS "introduction" is just for political points with latinos in 2012, hang in there guys , but dont expect nothing serious until 2013 and ahead.

I though Durbin said, we were getting a DA vote every year until it passes.
