It varies for every branch. For the Marines the age cap is 30. For the army its 40. Not sure about Air Force and Navy

It's 27 years old for the Air Force, 34 years old for the Navy and 35 for the Army. It makes me wonder why they won't just keep the age limit at 35. At least it would give the original DREAMers who wanted to serve the opportunity to do so.

What a load of crap.

This conservative Dream Act is nothing but TPS with travel authorization, which can be provided to those who EWI by granting Parole-in-Place; aka the "new" waiver regulation proposal by the Obama administration.

Ditto if you overstayed your visa and need to leave the country; a grant of deferred action along with parole-in-place can get you back in. If you can get the waiver approved.

If you have a final order of removal and are "low-priority", then you can file a stay of removal and if granted, get deferred action and work authorization. No travel for you, though.

What these conservatives are proposing is a TPS plan which can be accomplished by the Executive by granting blanket deferred action for DA beneficiaries. Why would they then be needed to get this done? And can you imagine the play if this is what Obama is heading for with the DA? Waiting for years and deportings thousands of qualifying persons only to sign something that did not need lawmakers' approval at all?

Dream becomes Reality

All these useless proposals that have only one goal-- to PUNISH young people for decisions made ON THEIR BEHALF when they were children, irritate the fuck out of me, I mean seriously? This is supposed to be America where people fled to decades ago because they knew that this place would give them a chance when no where else would.

It just seems like they keep adjusting the supposed "qualifying/cut-off age" for the Dream Act with the hopes of people wasting their young lives, waiting for this so-called "Dream" to come to fruition. EVERYONE that qualified for the Dream Act back in 2001 should be included in whatever Bill they pass if they want to be fair, it's not right to exclude those Dreamers all of a sudden, plain and simple.
