-This is the best play for the republicans because once they have control immigration will be tabled once again HAHA. ( <-- dirty trick)
-Now if the democrats don't fight this bill and just make sure its FAIR! then they can champion the fact they were able to come together for a bipartisan humanitarian bill affecting all walks of life and every person in this country 99% or not. Thus, they can still hold the immigrant vote and make this election about other issues.
---This said whatever bill comes up as long as its FAIR! it needs to be passed. All politics needs to be set aside and the immigrant community needs to stand together on this fight. (STOP DREAMING AND START ACTUALLY ACCEPTING THE FACT THAT SOME LAWS WERE BROKEN AND IF THE PUNISHMENT IS A LINE THEN SO BE IT) Tabling the issue will guarantee another 4 year hold on the issue when once again it will become a election year debate issue and nothing more.
---And this argument about C.I.R. isn't solving anything. One fight at a time, especially when your the underdog.
I agree wholeheartedly. Democrats did mention that they are willing to compromise. Reid....i just hope he really doesn't go against it. I mean has he made a statement regarding Rubio's version yet?

THANK YOU. These little high schoolers haven't reached puberty yet and think that they are entitled to all kinds of Financial Aid packages because all of their US Citizen friends get one.

republicans have control? what are you talking about? they are gonna get destroyed in 2012 elections.

what really matters is, whether dems are gonna vote for Rubio's version or not.

There's some MAJOR political shit going on behind the curtains. Either they are genuinely concerned or just messin around with us. The DEMOCRATS MUST support or be willing to compromise otherwise the Republicans will SURELY steal some of the hispanic votes if this doesn't happen. ONCE Romney is elected President, that will be the absolute END of CIR/DA as we know it so Obama must be very very careful here. This guy is made up of big money and he is White. Guys even a 12 year old kid can figure there is something fishy going on with the Republican party. I really really hope the Democrats are willing to compromise. The Republicans will have no choice but to vote YAY since they are the ones who brought up the bill. My only concern is the HOUSE. Who is going to introduce the bill overthere???? EVERYBODY get on Smooth's petition now!!

Sounds like great news, until you realize that GOP is only using this proposed bill to mask their true intentions and gain some Hispanic support. If they win election, chances of this bill passing is next to zip.

I'm down for anything, as long as it PASSES.

I think the key word here is "younger illegal aliens"

Its gonna be fucked up if they put the age limit at 25 or something like that. I'm only 21 but lets not forget that some Dreamers are in their 30s. Someone remind Rubio of this..

-Many of the original DREAMERS at the time the bill was first introduced are now in their mid 20's and mid 30's. It would be UNFAIR! for them to not be served under any legislation. Being that I'm 27 now id be very upset but if they limit the age at 25, however i cant stand in the way of someone else life, I'm not that important. Just don't forget those of us who will become martyrs to your DREAM.
--As far as the Republicans having control, everyone who is disillusioned and thinks control is a super majority its not. Control goes to the one with the most power to their vote. In this this case that means if your not filibuster proof (1 vote sigh in the house or the senate) your not in control. The republicans don't need to sweep anything to control the climate TYLER129 they just need to carry the most crucial vote in the room (the last vote).

^Fucking this. Guys, we need to arrive at a consensus on what we would support, craft a petition, sign it, and send it to him. Or, we can meet with him and give him ideas. We need to supprot this; this is fucking important. We cannot let the Democrats block this shit!!!!!!
