Well, he will support it but Republicans will no come along. I can wait 4 years at the most, after I finish my masters I think I will leave for the best. Unless I get a scholarship to finish Phd.

I wasn't talking about Rubio's proposal. Actually if you read a different post on this same topic it says he has a new plan a "common sense" solution to get us a path to citizenship. Like I said before DREAM act >>>>>>> Rubio's proposal

Trust me he won't support Rubio's proposal. And not because it is Republican, but because it will damage their whole ability to fight for CIR. Which is their objective. Obama wants secure borders and CIR. Republicans want secure borders and mass deportation, self deportation that is (because it is free theoretically). Rubio's proposal is gonna be so strict only 30% of current dreamers will actually benefit. This is my opinion though based on how the right has been talking about Rubio's proposal. Sadly I feel like I would be part of those 30% and I would feel terrible about it passing and leaving a lot of yall without relief. We have all suffered so much. We need it to benefit us all. So if the Democrats shoot down Rubio's strict proposal (given that I think it's gonna be strict as hell) I personally wouldn't cry about it.

Man, for a Phd, you basically get payed to study at that university. I've looked into getting one, but decided i can't stay committed that long. The phd is basically like a research degree in your field and the department of the university that you get your Phd from is funded. Universities get a ton of funding for researches etc, and you will get paid to research with the professors (basically a fellowship) and you'll also get paid for your living expenses, etc. You won't have to pay a cent to get a Phd, except like 4-6 years of your life You'll get paid from the money that the university gets for the researches, etc (a good university can accumulate millions of dollars).

I wish you good luck if you decide to head down that path.

using executive order before the elections would be extremely risky for Obama but a sure guarantee before elections could win him the latino vote.

Yes, like my quote says...

Unfortunately I have to pay my way through masters degree and at the same time pay the difference on my brothers tuition. So this will take me at least 3 years without dream act. But I guess it gives me more time. At least I do not feel like my life is going to waste by being here, quite the opposite.
