The problem is that the Democrats and Obama actually benefit from nothing happening, so there is no reason to assume that things will change. In other words, they get just as much in electoral terms for doing nothing, as they would if they did something, so it gives very little impulse for change.

I seriously doubt that it could take up to 10 years for the DA, or some sort of relief for us, to pass.

no one thought it would take more than ten years, and still not passing, when the dream act was introduced 11 years ago. I mean anything can happen, no one can really predict politics, maybe dream act will pass this year or maybe 10 years later, no one really know, there is no logic when it comes to politics.

DA will pass shortly. If it does not pass this year, which is likely to happen given the house, it will pass once Obama wins by a huge magin. Republicans will come to their senses.

I sure hope they can come to their senses, but then again we're talking of republicans here so I'm inclined to disagree, this is a party which openly tries to deny half of the voting populace's reproductive rights.
