"The bill will allow undocumented immigrants who are 19 years of age or younger, or 21 years of age or younger and have been granted voluntary departure, arrived in the United States before the age of 16, and have maintained residence in the United States for at least the previous five consecutive years, the opportunity to adjust their residency status if they achieve a degree from an accredited four year institution of higher education and meet certain other criteria."

This is what I warned of for months, but yet was derided for, no republican sponsored bill will be favorable to most dreamers at all. The discourse leans ever rightwards.

Ok guys, thank you. I saw it. I did not read it through it thoroughly as soon as I saw Rivera's last name.

Well, what's the surprise? This is the same fucking STARS Act idea that was discussed earlier in the year. I want to see what Rubio presents in the Senate. If Rubio's bill ends up being the same, let the GOP fuck itself over.

This bill is important, not only for the fact that it might fail but because it moves the discourse ever rightwards. Now that the first republican proposal has such a low age limit, what will prevent Rubio from doing the same? This could have even been an organized tactic so that when Rubio introduces his own bill, he has the perfect wiggle room to go even lower or do something similar. The discourse is moving rightwards guys and we can't do anything about it, not failing to see that for every little compromise we make, a couple thousand dreamers get shaved off.

But despite it's imperfections, I have to say I support it. Anything that could legalize anybody is cool with me, better some saved then all suffer. Like I am a man once said, we didn't have a problem(at least not huge) when older dreamers were cut off, why complain now when many get the same treatment?

I would say wait man. Rivera might be close with Rubio, but Rubio is also talking to influential DREAMERS who are atleast 25 or 26 (e.g. Pacheco, Mohammad Abdohalli, etc.) You know damn well they will not support something that fucks them over. I say wait to see what Rubio presents in the Senate.

Again, this is the same fucking STARS Act idea or bill that was presented earlier or discussed earlier in the year. So, what's the surprise.

Look, shit could go either way in terms of the contents of the bill right now. I say we wait before we go all gun ho on fucking Rubio. We can slam Rivera, but not Rubio--atleast not right now.

I understand your points, but Rubio was also talking to Lamar smith not to mention that he's a total romney puppet who wants to stay friendly with Kris Kobach, plus he only talked to those dreamers once, it's not like he maintains in constant touch with them.

Secondly, Rubio has long maintained that the broad age range disturbs him, based on all the evidence, including recent republican commentary I think it's not unreasonable to say that probably there will be stricter age limits. I will wait man, I agree with you, but based on all the empirical evidence we currently have, that's my view.

Shit could go either way man. No sense in generating all these scenarios.

Again, this fucking STARS Act should be of no surprise to anyone. This fucking idea or version was discussed/presented by the same Representative earlier this year.

Wth does voluntary departure mean? This has no chance of passing....I say Rivera just team up with Rubio.
