I'm sure what actually happened is:

Congressmen Luis Gutierrez's unpaid staffer called up the USCIS 1-800 number and asked the low-paid phone representative about the date. The staffer responded with "Um... I think August 15th?"

Yeah, that's likely what happened. Guidelines will probably be released somewhere around the 12th, application will get pushed down into the 20s. Then USCIS will take all the time it can get before riots ensure to process the applications. Then it will all take all the time it can get to schedule the biometrics. Then it will take all the time to issue the EADs. In other words don't expect to have the EAD before the March of next year.

no they did not mentioned anything about how much it would cost. there is many posts that mentioned 370 to 500. they did mentioned though that the guidelines should be coming out soon in the next days

Many people diss on Univision let's not forget they help us by putting stories out there, as a result Latino voters can see what's going on. Also I think ABC and Univision are linked together, so just because it's a Spanish channel it does not mean they're not accurate, they do their best, and we ought to be thankful for that.

I am still hoping they come out either tomorrow or monday, or maybe next wednesday.
