That's my prediction on the Dream Act. I wish it doesn't happen but it seems most likely since there's already a line forming for those who can benefit.

Thousands of Original Dreamers were left out in DACA. Durbin knows this very well.

Hey man. Some of those original dreamers dreamed up hill both ways on the way to their daily dream through the snow!

(But yeah, the concept of an 'original DREAMer' is silly)

Durbin knows very well that something is better then nothing. Durbin has suported DA back in 2010 without retro langauge with 31 age cap, his one of strongest suporter of DACA. They knows it will be imposible to pass the bill with reto or age cap over 31.

What I mean is that there were Dreamers from 2001 when the bill was launched. A lot of those were 31+ on June 15th, 2012.

The Dreamers from 2001 kept it alive.

Retro and age cap was NEVER an issue.

I mean to said Durbin suported DA in 2010 without retro langauge in it. So he don't care if retro langauge in it or not longest DA passes that's all he care about it.

Now that DACA is here I feel sad that I didn't take advantage of it by going to school more then I have I could have finished something by now or at least could have been that much closer. I really hope that Dream Act passes.

Oh please if they really wanted to pass it they would write all important annual acts (one that have to pass) to already include dream act, not try and stage amendment votes that never get anywhere. That way: republitards would need 60 votes to amend the bill to not include dream act, voting against a bill sending money to the military, etc would make them look like jackasses.

Sec 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (paragraph long, but nonetheless a major precursor to ADA) was a stealth provision. No one even knew it was there, it wouldn't be hard to push in a sentence moving the registry date forward into a phonebook of a bill (you really think the senators read them?). Or a few actually worded slightly different, so if one gets found the next 2-3 will still stand, and republicans get their carrot.

It was a desperate attempt to pass in a lame duck session. Not the right thing to do.
