True dat!

Some cases you need one... most cases not. I say this as a person with a lawyer.

Agree. It could go the same way if the actual DA or CIR was passed.

Here is a great quote by Guy Kawasaki on experts.

Quote:
Ignore schmexperts. Schmexperts are the totally bad combination of schmucks who are experts--or experts who are schmucks. When you first launch a product or service, they'll tell you it isn't necessary, can't really work, or faces too much competition. If you succeed, then they'll say they knew you would succeed. In other words, they don't know jack shiitake. If you believe, try it. If you don't believe, listen to the schmexperts and stay on the porch.

This is a bunch of B.S

All the lawyers want is people to go to them to file. You guys should not worry. Read the guidelines! The guidelines are very clear as to what will disqualify you.

Read Read Read!!!

You guys are being too paranoid!

If you do not have significant misdemeanors apply!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what about a misdemeanor that you were not arrested for, does it count against you?

A misdemeanor that you were not arrested for? Let me get this straight, so you're worried about a problem that has never happened to you?

We ALL took a risk by applying right? There is a risk for everything, and so be it. What if Obama doesn't win? What if they deny me? Oh well. The problem with articles like this is that it not only makes people who qualify paranoid, it makes people around them paranoid. I qualify so I applied, and I had a family member today try to make me feel guilty for applying saying how irresponsible of me and selfish and "expose your family to ICE like that". Ridiculous. It made me so angry. Now I wonder if parents/aunts/uncles/brothers/sisters are discouraging people from applying when the rewards if you get accepted are HUGE.

^ I think the right question is a misdemeanor that you were never CONVICTED of.. If you were never arrested for a misdemeanor it means you never got caught--> then issued a court date.

Read the guidelines, it says never have been convicted of a significant misdemeanor. So for example if you got an ACD you should be OK because an ACD is not a conviction.
