No you need no visa, its like an employer, saying I want to hire this foreigner, so he petitions you. If you get approved you get a green card.
I think that's technically wrong. You can't be out of status when you are seeking employment sponsorship. Otherwise, my mom and plenty of others would have been able to get employee sponsorship.

They will probably give you an interview appointment in whatever country you are a citizen of. You can go and come back with Advanced Parole.
In the application it never says you have to have a visa status, you dont even have to be living in the us, for an employer to sponsor you.

Application: http://www.uscis.gov/USCIS/Resources/E2en.pdf
I see, I should have asked him more questions because he never left the country to be able to work for them. Maybe that will happen in the future?

Oh ok, now I see where you are taking your point.

I have friends who are doing this, but it's easier said than done!

YOU DONT SEEK THE JOB.!!!, You dont apply, the Employer applies for you, because they want you to work for them.

You ask your EMPLOYER TO PETITION YOU! Because of your qualifications EX: Bachelors degree, experience.

You know what I mean?

I know, but it never hurts to try, especially because DACA is not a permanent solution. One day you may get denied renewal and you're done.

LOL, I know what your point is, but even if your employer petitions you, it is a lot more complicated than that . One of my friends has a CS degree and basically has worked with a top company for the last five years who have been petitioning to get him a green card.

He had to leave the country for two weeks and basically had to sweat bullets waiting for approval. His green card process is on hold right now because the company just laid off a lot of people and the optics are bad for them to try to give green cards to foreign workers.

Even though it SEEMS like this would work out, I think leaving the country is risky.

It is, but DACA is risky as well, like I said what if you get denied renewal? It's not permanent so we might as well look for a better solution.

Yea Im sure if you prove yourself to a company, and eventually explain them your situation they would be more than happy to petition you.
