A couple words for Speaker Boehner. The man is a cunning fox. BUT, when it comes to COMPROMISE, I've always thought of him as a congressman who can be willing to come, sit down on the table with the Democrats. There's something about his demeanor that just shows this. What the Democratic leaders need to do is give the man an opportunity and let him provide some ideas as well. I really really hope somebody from the Democratic aisle comes up with a compromise like Senator Ted Kennedy would!

Literally everything is coming together. Social liberalism won this cycle. Gay marriage, gay Senators, legalized marijuana, and CIR in the future. It is truly amazing.

Ugh, Washington Times. They are pretty much the equivalent of Fox News but it is surprising that they published this. Less surprising is the fact they quoted Kobach.

Good to hear though that Boehner is coming.

^This. The fact that Boehner is willing to negotiate to get the issue settled once and for all is great news. He is very influential. Fingers crossed.

He is no body and not even in Congress.

It is obvious. GOP failed in 2008 and 2012. They could not get Latino and minority votes for the GOP party. They learned their lesson and now they must compromise and get the bill passed.

Yes it is and it will majority soon in USA. That is a big plus. GOP's cannot win with just White votes anymore.

Well now the Republican party realizes the opportunity cost of this stance was loss of possible immigrant votes that Romney could've stolen from Obama by softening up a little bit and by not making idiotic comments like, "I will veto the Dream Act" Think about it, most immigrants were aware the extremely high deportation rate under the Obama administration and the fact that Bush actually came pretty close to passing CIR. I'm so sure that Romney would've won some of these votes had he come out pro-immigration from the beginning of his campaign!

None as big as this one though with GOP And Dems coming together. No more games.
When you got Boehner talking on this. You know something big will happen soon.

I say CIR/DA passes in Feb 2013!

Obama's shadow should be there also. Luis G in GOP too.

It is because he is the House majority speaker.

+1. I completely agree. Boehner has always stuck out to me from the usual group. I really hope our government can come together. Not just for CIR, but for every other issue. America has spoken. It wants change and it wants it now.

I know. Just when all hope was lost prior to June 15, it seems like everything has made a complete U-TURN into the right direction.
