I hope I don't sound like a douchebag, but I think it's kind of weird that you guys found out about your status after so many years. You know when I found out I was entering the country illegally? 30 minutes before we got into the car headed for Nogales.

Well not everyone came in through Nogales, so just because you knew doesn't mean everyone knew. I have a friend who came here when she was a month old, think she knew? I came by plane, did you think I knew? No, not until I figured out that me or my parents couldn't get drivers license, let alone leave this country if we ever wanted to come back.

I was 8 years old. My mom didn't tell me and my sister we were crossing the border without permission, until the day we did it. Before that, I thought we were gonna get on a plane in Leon, Mexico, and just fly here. Back then, I thought that every person in Mexico that went to the United States came here by plane and with papers lol

lol I came in through the Nogales POE as well, I was 7 and my brother was 4, I was aware of my status just didn't care for it until my friends and I would talk about life after high school so yeah lol
