People need to start being honest about their criminal histories, that's the problem with most. 'Omitting' certain issues can be thought to be lying too.

Honestly I have like 3 or 4 arrests, but they were all for traffic tickets (no driver license, no insurance, etc), so the arrests themselves are not the issue, but what they are for it is.

Did you answer "Yes" and provide records to the question that ask you were you arrested?

It's not being arrested that counts, it's being charged with a crime. They're close but not the same.

Case 1: Being caught with a bag of marijuana, arrested , charged with criminal possession, and then sentenced before a judge (or pleading guilty to it in exchange of lighter sentence).

= You're gonna have some 'splaining to do.

Case 2: You had a minor altercation with some dude at school. Police comes and arrests you and the other guy. After a brief investigation , the cops decide to let you both walk with a warning without formally charging you for anything.

=No harm , no foul. No need for disclosure here.

Agreed...the only thing is that most people here have been arrested, charged and fined for stuff...However, the wording in the application is still a bit odd and might lead to confusion and 'honest mistakes'.

It's not about not being honest.. The application asks you to include, if you have any records(Specifically says DO NOT include traffic tickets).

In my case I had a no-insurance traffic ticket I did not pay. After that I was pulled over because my turning signal was not working. Officer had a warrant for the Non-Insurance ticket and arrested me. I got off with a bond on the same day. I went to court and all tickets dismissed and all my money reimbursed.

I still got an RFE for that specific arrest. Which was only for traffic tickets and no criminal records are on my background.

Yeah I only mentioned that because alot of people had the misconception that just because you were arrested you would get REF, regardless of why, and that's not the case at all. I guess if you have questionable things you might get REF and also depending of who reviews the case, and your overall case, not just for the arrests themselves.
