My prediction is Obama pushes for CIR/DA this year as hard as he pressed for Healthcare reform. I know its a bit much to actually believe, but Obama isn't going to allow the immigration issue award political points to the GOP.

Obama is gonna call his bluff. Rubio is nothing, but a poster child for the GOP to get Latino votes nothing else. Rubio has done nothing in the Senate since he took office, he's irrelevant now and will remain irrelevant in the future.

Please say you're kidding. The sarcasm is kinda hard to sense thru forum text.

Well last year absolutely nothing was introduced by Rubio. Obama ended up signing DACA into effect. Same shit is going on right now. Rubio does not and WILL NOT introduce or make any details public. The main question is..WHY IS HE DOING THIS? Lets use this thread to speculate. My theory is that he does not want the country's non-cuban undocumented immigrants to get legal status and he holds a grudge against Obama and does not want to award him another political victory. He is using this tactic to DELAY the negotiations until 2014 elections, because we all know historically immigration has never been debated during election years. This is a wicked strategy to derail us. Obama must stand tough and show this guy who is boss. Here is my prediction. CIR will pass as Obama intends it by August. Soon after Rubio will release a statement whining and accusing Obama of "poisoning the well" again. End of story.
Ugh Rubio... Until he actually shows he has something done he'll just end up like the boy who cried wolf. No one's believing anything he says!

Well I never stopped hating the guy so yea. lol

Anyways...

Rubio also wants undocumented immigrants to come forward and go through a process to get legal status that could include background checks, paying a fine and back taxes and possibly community service. That process also includes the option of eventually becoming a citizen.
Back taxes seriously? With this 'plan' it seems like it will take forever for any common undocumented fellow that gets paid either below minimum wage or minimum wage years and years to even start the process.

And community service? How many hours? 10,000? XD I kid.

I guess we have to see the positive side of this...
